Understanding Traffic Trackers

Traffic Creator is designed to work with a wide range of analytics platforms and traffic trackers. However, compatibility varies depending on the traffic plan you choose. This guide explains which trackers are supported by each plan and how to ensure your traffic is properly tracked.

Important: The quality of traffic tracking depends on both the traffic plan you choose and the specific configuration of your analytics platform. For the most accurate tracking, we recommend using our Professional or Expert plans.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Compatibility

Google Analytics 4 is the latest version of Google's analytics platform and offers more advanced tracking capabilities compared to Universal Analytics (GA3). Here's how our different plans work with GA4:

Economy Plan

Limited Compatibility

  • Basic pageview tracking
  • Limited user property tracking
  • May show incorrect geo-location
  • No event tracking
  • No engagement metrics
Professional Plan

Full Compatibility

  • Accurate pageview tracking
  • Correct user property tracking
  • Accurate geo-location data
  • Basic session metrics
  • Limited event tracking
Expert Plan

Enhanced Compatibility

  • All Professional features
  • Advanced event tracking
  • Scroll depth tracking
  • Click event tracking
  • Form interaction tracking
  • Enhanced engagement metrics

Pro Tip: If you're using Google Analytics 4 as your primary analytics platform, we strongly recommend using our Expert plan to take advantage of the enhanced event tracking capabilities, which will provide more realistic and comprehensive data.

SimilarWeb & SEMrush Compatibility

SimilarWeb and SEMrush are popular competitive intelligence tools that estimate website traffic and other metrics. Our Professional and Expert plans are designed to be properly tracked by these platforms:

  • Economy Plan: Traffic from this plan uses datacenter IPs, which are typically filtered out by SimilarWeb and SEMrush, resulting in little to no impact on your metrics in these platforms.
  • Professional Plan: Uses residential IPs that are properly tracked by SimilarWeb and SEMrush, improving your visibility and metrics in these platforms.
  • Expert Plan: Uses premium residential IPs with advanced behavior patterns that are fully tracked by SimilarWeb and SEMrush, maximizing your visibility and metrics.
  • SERP Plan: Specifically designed to impact search-related metrics in these platforms, particularly keyword rankings and organic traffic estimates.

Google Search Console Compatibility

Google Search Console is primarily designed to track organic search performance. Our SERP plan is specifically optimized for Google Search Console:

  • Economy/Professional/Expert Plans: These plans may have limited impact on Google Search Console metrics, as they don't specifically simulate search engine clicks in the way that Google Search Console tracks them.
  • SERP Plan: Specifically designed to impact Google Search Console metrics by simulating clicks from Google search results pages. This plan can help improve your click-through rate (CTR), impressions, and position metrics in Google Search Console.

Important: If your primary goal is to improve your metrics in Google Search Console, we recommend using our SERP plan rather than the standard traffic plans.

Verifying Tracker Compatibility

To ensure your analytics platform is properly tracking our traffic, follow these steps:

1.

Check Real-Time Reports

Most analytics platforms offer real-time reporting. Start a small traffic campaign and check if the visits are being recorded in real-time.

2.

Verify Geo-Location Data

Check if the geographic distribution of traffic matches your targeting settings.

3.

Compare Traffic Sources

Verify that the traffic sources (direct, referral, social, organic) match your configuration.

4.

Monitor User Behavior Metrics

Check bounce rate, session duration, and pages per session to ensure they align with your settings.

5.

Use Our Compatibility Tool

In your project dashboard, use our tracker compatibility verification tool to test if your specific analytics setup is compatible with your chosen traffic plan.

Troubleshooting Tracking Issues

If your traffic isn't appearing in your analytics platform, check the following:

  • Verify that your analytics tracking code is properly installed on all pages of your website
  • Check if your analytics platform has filters that might be excluding our traffic
  • Ensure you're looking at the correct date range in your analytics reports
  • If using the Economy plan, be aware that some platforms may filter out datacenter IPs
  • Try upgrading to a Professional or Expert plan for better tracking compatibility

If the geographic location in your analytics doesn't match your targeting settings:

  • Economy plan users: Datacenter IPs may be detected as coming from different locations than targeted
  • Professional/Expert plan users: There might be a slight variance in geo-location detection, but it should be mostly accurate
  • Check if your analytics platform uses IP-based geolocation or browser-reported location
  • Some analytics platforms may group smaller countries into regions
  • VPN or proxy detection in your analytics might affect location reporting

If events aren't being tracked in Google Analytics 4:

  • Economy plan does not support event tracking in GA4
  • Professional plan has limited event tracking capabilities
  • Expert plan is required for full event tracking (scroll, click, form interactions)
  • Verify that your GA4 event tracking is properly configured on your website
  • Check if you have custom event definitions that might not be triggered by our traffic
  • Ensure your GA4 property is collecting events (check the Real-Time Events report)

Conclusion

Choosing the right traffic plan for your analytics needs is crucial for getting accurate and meaningful data. Our Professional and Expert plans offer the best compatibility with most analytics platforms, while our SERP plan is specifically designed for improving search-related metrics.
