Traffic Credits FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Traffic Creator credits, how they work, and how to manage them.
What are Traffic Credits?
Traffic credits are the currency used within Traffic Creator to generate visitor traffic to your websites. Each credit represents one pageview (or hit) to your website. When you purchase a subscription or package, you receive a specific number of credits that you can use to create and run traffic campaigns.
One traffic credit equals one pageview, not one visitor. The number of unique visitors you receive depends on your bounce rate setting:
- Pageviews vs. Visitors: If you purchase 10,000 credits, you'll always get 10,000 pageviews.
- Bounce Rate Effect: If your bounce rate is set to 80%, approximately 80% of visitors will view only one page, while 20% will view multiple pages.
- Example: With 10,000 credits and a 20% bounce rate, you'll receive 10,000 pageviews but only about 8,000 unique visitors (since 20% of visitors will view multiple pages).
The traffic quality varies based on your plan type:
- Economy Plan: Uses datacenter IPs, compatible with basic analytics
- Professional Plan: Uses residential IPs with city-level targeting
- Expert Plan: Includes advanced user interactions (scrolls, clicks, form submissions)
No, traffic credits do not expire. Once purchased, your credits remain in your account until you use them, regardless of when you purchased them.
This gives you complete flexibility to use your credits at your own pace without worrying about expiration dates. You can view your current credit balance in your account dashboard under "Credits & Billing."
Managing Your Credits
You can check your current credit balance in several ways:
- Dashboard: Your available credits are displayed on the main dashboard when you log in
- Account Menu: Click on your profile icon and select "Credits & Billing"
- Campaign Creation: Your available credits are shown during the campaign setup process
The dashboard also shows a breakdown of active, pending, and used credits, along with their expiration dates.
Credits are deducted from your account in the following manner:
- Allocation: When you create a campaign, you allocate a specific number of credits to it
- Reservation: These credits are reserved but not immediately deducted
- Consumption: Credits are actually consumed as visitors are sent to your website
- Expiration Order: Credits that expire soonest are used first
You can view detailed credit consumption reports in the "Reports" section of your dashboard.
Credit transfers between accounts depend on your subscription level:
- Standard Plan: Credit transfers are not available
- Professional Plan: Limited transfers to team members within the same organization
- Expert Plan: Transfers allowed between team accounts with manager approval
- Enterprise Plan: Full credit pooling and allocation capabilities across the organization
To transfer credits (if available on your plan), go to "Credits & Billing," select "Transfer Credits," and follow the instructions.
Purchasing Additional Credits
You can purchase additional credits in several ways:
- Top-up Credits: Go to "Credits & Billing" and click "Purchase Credits"
- During Campaign Creation: If you don't have enough credits, you'll be prompted to purchase more
- Automatic Top-up: Enable this feature to automatically purchase credits when your balance falls below a threshold
Additional credits purchased outside your subscription plan are typically valid for 90 days from the purchase date.
Yes, we offer volume discounts when purchasing additional credits:
- 1,000 - 5,000 credits: 5% discount
- 5,001 - 20,000 credits: 10% discount
- 20,001 - 50,000 credits: 15% discount
- 50,001+ credits: 20% discount
Enterprise customers may qualify for additional custom volume discounts. Contact our sales team for more information.
When you cancel your subscription:
- Subscription Credits: Any unused credits from your subscription will expire at the end of your current billing period
- Additional Purchased Credits: Credits purchased separately from your subscription will remain valid until their original expiration date
- Promotional Credits: These typically expire immediately upon subscription cancellation
We recommend using all your subscription credits before canceling, or considering downgrading instead of canceling if you still have a significant number of credits.
Troubleshooting Credit Issues
Several factors can cause credits to be consumed faster than anticipated:
- Bounce Rate Setting: A lower bounce rate means more visitors will view multiple pages, consuming credits faster per unique visitor
- High Traffic Rate: Setting a high daily traffic rate will consume credits more quickly
- Multiple Active Campaigns: Running several campaigns simultaneously divides your credits among them
- Page Depth: If visitors navigate through many pages on your site, more credits will be consumed
Check your campaign settings and the "Credit Usage" report to identify which factors are affecting your consumption rate.
If credits are being deducted but you don't see corresponding traffic, check these common causes:
- Analytics Delay: There can be a 24-48 hour delay in some analytics platforms
- Website Issues: If your website is down or experiencing errors, credits may be consumed without successful visits
- Filtering: Your analytics platform might be filtering out the traffic
- Incorrect Tracking: Analytics code may not be properly installed on your website
Check your website status and analytics configuration. If the issue persists, contact our support team with your campaign ID for assistance.
Our refund policy for unused credits is as follows:
- Subscription Credits: These are non-refundable as they are part of your subscription package
- Additional Purchased Credits: May be eligible for a partial refund within 30 days of purchase if completely unused
- Technical Issues: If credits were consumed due to a technical issue on our end, we may provide credit compensation after investigation
