Learn how to update and manage your personal information, preferences, and account settings in Traffic Creator.
Personal Information
The Personal Information section allows you to update your basic details:

Profile Picture and Appearance
Customize how your profile appears within Traffic Creator:
- Profile Picture: Click on the profile picture placeholder or existing image to upload a new photo. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and GIF with a maximum size of 5MB.
- Avatar Style: If you prefer not to use a photo, you can select a colored avatar with your initials. Choose from various color options in the Avatar Style section.
- Profile Visibility: Choose whether your profile is visible to other team members (for team accounts) or keep it private.
Uploading a Profile Picture
- Click on your current profile picture or the placeholder
- Select "Upload Photo" from the menu
- Choose an image file from your device
- Crop and adjust the image as needed
- Click "Save" to apply the changes
Using an Avatar
- Click on your current profile picture or the placeholder
- Select "Use Avatar" from the menu
- Choose a color style from the available options
- Preview how your initials will appear
- Click "Save" to apply the changes
Contact and Address Information
Keeping your contact and address information up-to-date is important for billing and communication purposes:
- Country: Select your country from the dropdown menu. This affects tax calculations and available payment methods.
- Address Line 1: Enter your street address or P.O. Box.
- Address Line 2: Enter additional address information if needed (apartment number, suite, etc.).
- City: Enter your city or town.
- State/Province: Enter your state, province, or region.
- ZIP/Postal Code: Enter your postal code.
Important: Accurate billing information is required for tax compliance and to prevent payment issues. Make sure your address details match those on file with your payment method to avoid declined transactions.
Notification Preferences
Control what notifications you receive and how they're delivered:

- Click "Save Changes" to apply your preferences.
Pro Tip: Even if you disable email notifications for certain updates, you can always view all notifications in your dashboard by clicking the bell icon in the top navigation bar.
Language and Regional Preferences
Customize your experience with language and regional settings:
- Interface Language: Select your preferred language for the Traffic Creator dashboard and communications. Available options include English, Spanish, German, French, and more.
- Time Zone: Choose your local time zone to ensure that all timestamps, reports, and scheduled activities align with your local time.
- Date Format: Select your preferred date format (MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD).
- Time Format: Choose between 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time format.
- First Day of Week: Set whether your week starts on Sunday or Monday (affects calendar views and reports).
Account Preferences

Display Preferences
- Theme: Choose between Light, Dark, or System (follows your device settings)
- Dashboard Layout: Select your preferred dashboard arrangement
- Table Density: Adjust how compact or spacious tables appear
- Animation: Enable or disable interface animations

- Session Timeout: Set how long until you're automatically logged out when inactive
- Default Project View: Choose list or card view for projects

Saving Your Changes
After updating your profile information or preferences:
- Review all changes to ensure accuracy.
- Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of each section.
- Wait for the confirmation message indicating that your changes have been saved.
- If you encounter any errors, check the error message for specific issues that need to be addressed.
Important: Changes to your profile are saved on a per-section basis. Make sure to click the "Save Changes" button in each section you modify before moving to another section or leaving the page.
Viewing Your Profile
To see how your profile appears to others (for team accounts):
- Click on your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Select "View Profile" from the dropdown menu.
- This opens your public profile view, showing information visible to other team members.
- Use this view to ensure your profile presents the information you want to share.
Troubleshooting Profile Issues
If you're having trouble saving your profile changes:
- Check for error messages that may indicate specific issues with your input
- Ensure required fields (marked with an asterisk *) are filled out
- Verify that your email format is valid if you're updating a secondary email
- Check that your password meets the minimum requirements if you're updating it
- Try refreshing the page and making your changes again
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again
- Try using a different browser or device

To change your primary email address (used for login):
- Contact our support team via email at [email protected]
- Include your current email address and the new email address you want to use
- Verify your identity by providing additional account information when requested
- Our team will send a verification link to both your current and new email addresses
- Click the verification links in both emails to confirm the change
- Once verified, you'll be able to log in with your new email address
This process helps ensure the security of your account and prevents unauthorized email changes.
If you're having trouble uploading a profile picture:
- Check that your image file is in a supported format (JPG, PNG, or GIF)
- Verify that the file size is under 5MB
- Ensure the image dimensions are at least 200x200 pixels
- Try a different image file to see if the issue is with the specific image
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again
- Try using a different browser or device
- If using a mobile device, try uploading from a desktop computer
If none of these solutions work, you can email your profile picture to [email protected], and our team can upload it for you.
If you're not receiving notifications as expected:
- Check your spam or junk folder for email notifications
- Add [email protected] and [email protected] to your email contacts or safe senders list
- Verify your notification settings in your profile to ensure they're configured correctly
- Check if you have notification scheduling enabled that might be limiting when notifications are sent
- Ensure your email address is correct in your profile
- For dashboard notifications, check if you're logged out due to session timeout
- Try disabling and re-enabling notifications for the specific types you want to receive
